Quilting 20/20: Clearly Seeing Our Quilting Past in Order to Envision Our Quilting Future

The workshop with Lynette is back on for our June virtual meeting.
Trunk Show/lecturer – Lynette S. Warren, quilter

The title of this talk will be “Quilting 20/20: Clearly Seeing Our Quilting Past in Order to Envision Our Quilting Future.” Lynette will cover several aspects of quilting including: a history of quilting and the African presence in quilting, quilt patterns, quiltlore, quilt fabric – the distinction between different types of fabric and how fabric selection will alter the look of a quilt. She also speaks about quilts in literature, particularly African American quilt literature/ authors. Lynette brings her knowledge of both the traditions of quilting and the trends currently in quilting and she is eager to share what she knows.

  • Attendees may cancel a workshop for a refund two weeks before the workshop.
  • Attendees cancelling a workshop 72 hours or less before the workshop will be given a credit to their account for future workshops.
  • Paypal fees and any processing fees will not be refunded.
  • In the event that a workshop does not have enough students, it may be cancelled two weeks before the scheduled workshop.
  • In the event of a Guild workshop cancellation, students will be refunded within 10 business days.
  • If our Guild reschedules a workshop to another date, attendees are also entitled to a full refund.
  • No refund or credit will be given for no-shows.
